ArchDes Lecturers Wasney and Hayes honored by AIA

Two of Stanford's Civil and Environmental Engineering lecturers won awards at the AIA biannual award event on October 29, 2020.

Ken Hayes, the founder of Hayes Group Architects, was selected by the Silicon Valley AIA to receive the Birge Clark Award, which honors an architect for the totality of their career.

CAW Architects, for which Chris Wasney is a founding principal, was recognized by the Silicon Valley Chapter of the American Institute of Architects with the Citation Award for Interior Architecture for work on the Student Union at James Lick High School in San Jose. A recent CEE graduate, Sally Lape, was a designer on the CAW project.
