Curricular Practical Training is not a requirement for CEE international graduate students. However, the department offers a CPT course for which the student may receive one unit of academic credit.
First, students must find a CEE faculty adviser who is willing and available to be their CPT Faculty Adviser. Next, students may contact Bechtel International Center for guidance in submitting their online application form for CPT in AXESS, or visit the following link: https://bechtel.stanford.edu/immigration/employment/f-1-employment/curricular-practical-training-cpt
Finally, after submitting their online CPT application, students may contact CEE Student Services, (650) 725-2386, Y2E2 Building, Office 316 to request their CPT course number faculty adviser's section number for enrollment/registration in Axess. Students must be registered in the CPT course during the same quarter as the internship period.
Important: students must have their CPT faculty adviser's consent to register under their faculty adviser section number in order to receive credit for taking the course. Axess allows students to enroll in the CPT course for the quarter they are doing an internship but no later than five days before their internship start date.
