Student Service to the Department Award

CEE Department Service Awards for Graduating Students

To cultivate a culture of service and teamwork, the CEE department will award 4 student service awards each year at CEE’s Commencement. A $500 award will be given to students (1 UG, 2 MS, and 1 PhD) graduating during that current academic year for their exemplary leadership in and service to the department.

  •  Nomination Process
    • Any CEE community member may nominate a student for this award
    • Nominations will be accepted starting the first day of Spring Quarter through a deadline of May 15.
    • Nominators are asked to complete a nomination form available online
      • Instructions on award nomination form: This form is to nominate CEE Dept students who have contributed to the department through their service and leadership over this past year (Summer Quarter 2025 - Spring Quarter 2026)
      • Nominators provide their name and affiliation, name and degree program of the student being nominated, and an explanation of whythey are nominating the student.
      • Nominators may optionally attach photos or documents in support of their nomination.
  • Awardees are recognized during the CEE commencement ceremony in June.
