Structures as Sensors Group Awards

Professor Haeyoung Noh's group received recognition at two events.

Professor Haeyoung Noh and researchers in the the Structures as Sensors Lab received the Best Journal Paper Award from the ASME Structural Health Monitoring & NDE Technical Committee (2022).
The award is for Xu, S. & Noh, H. (2021). PhyMDAN: Physics-Informed Knowledge Transfer between Buildings for Seismic Damage Diagnosis through Adversarial Learning. Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing, 151, 107374.
Susu Xu was a PhD student of Noh's at Carnegie Mellon University and continued her Postdoc studies with Noh at Stanford. Xu is now a Professor at Stony Brook University.

They also received the Best Presentation Award at the 2022 European Conference on Precision Livestock Farming (ECPLF 2022) for the paper Codling, J. R., Dong, Y., Bonde, A., Bannis, A., Macon, A., Rohrer, G., Miles, J., Sharma, S., Brown-Brandl, T., Noh, H., & Zhang, P. (2022). Sow Posture and Feeding Activity Monitoring in a Farrowing Pen using Ground Vibration.
2022 European Conference on Precision Livestock Farming (ECPLF), Vienna, Austria.
PhD candidate Yiwen Dong and Professor Noh are co-authors of this paper.
