Mauter Selected for ASCE Huber Prize

Professor Meagan Mauter was selected by ASCE’s Committee on Technical Advancement to receive the 2021 Walter L. Huber Civil Engineering Research Prize for “her pioneering work on advancing systems, processes and materials for energy efficient water desalination and fit-for purpose reuse and her visionary leadership as the Research Director of the National Alliance for Water Innovation (NAWI).”

The award is scheduled to be presented during the Society’s Virtual EWRI Congress, June 7-11, 2021.  ASCE selects only five members each year for this award and past winners include Professor Jack Baker (2018).

The award recipients are selected based on the impact of their research, both on their chosen subdisciplines, as well as on the field of civil engineering more broadly.
