KitSwitch wins Yes SF Innovation Challenge award
The Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Department is proud to announce that two of our recent alumni – Candice Delamarre (COO) and Armelle Coutant (CEO) of KitSwitch – have been named Top Innovators by Yes SF as part of its second Innovation Challenge cohort. Launched in collaboration with UpLink, the Top Innovator Program selects standout startups with breakthrough sustainable urban solutions, providing them with mentorship, funding opportunities, and visibility to scale their impact.
Candice and Armelle, both graduates of our MS in Sustainable Design and Construction (’21), co-founded KitSwitch to streamline modular interior systems for retrofit projects, reducing both cost and renovation timelines in sustainable multi-unit housing. Their recognition by Yes SF spotlights their innovation in urban sustainability and underscores how our graduates are translating academic training into real-world impact.
