Jill Filice Retires after 35 Years

Commencement is always the best day of the year in CEE. This year, in addition to celebrating our amazing students and faculty, we also took a moment to honor staff member Jill Filice. As our Assistant Director of Degree Progress, Jill has helped literally thousands of students navigate our degree programs. After spending her entire 35-year Stanford career in CEE, Jill retired a few weeks after this year’s Commencement ceremony. Our department chair, Sarah Billington, honored her with flowers and a moving speech on stage.

Thank you, Jill, for your many years of stellar service to our students and faculty. Happy trails in the adventures to come!
