Jack Baker has received a 2018 Walter Huber Civil Engineering Research Prize. This national award from the American Society of Civil Engineers recognizes early-career faculty for significant research accomplishments in civil engineering. Jack was recognized “for research to characterize the damaging effects of earthquake ground motion spectral shape, duration, nearfault directivity and other features for seismic hazard analysis and performance-based engineering of buildings, bridges and geographically distributed infrastructure.” More information about the award may be found here.
