Haeyoung Noh receives 2024 Walter L. Huber Civil Engineering Research Prize
American Society of Civil Engineers' Huber prize is regarded as the highest mid-career research award in civil engineering
CEE congratulates Professor Haeyoung Noh for being the recipient of the 2024 Walter L. Huber Civil Engineering Research Prize from the American Society of Civil Engineers!
Haeyoung is being recognized for "the structures as sensors concept to enable user- and environmental-aware physical structures via analysis of structural vibrations. This paradigm shift in sensing facilitates easy-to-deploy platforms that learn from the analysis of what would otherwise be noise." ASCE established the award nearly 80 years ago and the award is regarded as the highest-level mid-career research award in civil engineering.
