Congratulation to the CEE undergraduate team. They won first place in the Seismic Design Competition at the EERI Annual Conference in Vancouver, BC. They also won Best Seismic Performance.

The Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI)'s objective is to reduce earthquake risk by advancing the science and practice of earthquake engineering; improving understanding of the impact of earthquakes on the physical, social, economic, political, and cultural environment; and advocating comprehensive and realistic measures for reducing the harmful effects of earthquakes. This year's theme is "Reaching Resilience Faster by Working Together." A highlight of every EERI Annual Meeting and conference is the 16th Annual EERI Undergraduate Seismic Design Competition, which showcased some 40 teams from universities around the world. Stanford took home first place in the seismic design competition as well as best seismic performance.
