SEWSS Seminar Series: Do Swimming Animals Mix the Ocean?

August 16, 2018 - 4:00pm to 6:00pm
Shriram Center for Bioengineering & Chemical Engineering, Room 104

Isabel is a Ph.D. candidate studying the fluid dynamics of biological propulsion and collective motion in stratifiedflows. She uses laboratory experiments with novel flow visualization and measurement techniques to understandthe fluid dynamics within swarms and the potential physical and biogeochemical impacts of collective swimmerson the surrounding water column.
